CZ4275 Condensed Matter: Simulation and Computation (Elective, 3MC)
Synopsis
Prerequisite: CZ3272
This module is an extension of CZ3272 from one or two atom systems to condensed matter
systems, emphasizing techniques used for the calculation of material properties, including density
functional theory, numerical renormalization group methods, and finite size scaling techniques.
Applications include the calculating structural and electronic properties of solids, simulation of
polymer fluid properties, and the critical wetting transition.
